The story started off with a bang- but within a few chapters my enthusiasm was deflated. Yes, I do agree that the concept was fresh. The attempt was a good one too, but from the author of such a brilliant work like Chanakya's Chant you would expect more.
The protagonist ' Saini' was too similar to Langdon for my taste. That in itself was disappointing. As the plot thickened, there were too many simple escapes and too many explanations. Even though a lot of theories were put up in the book to make it interesting, the author could have made it a little more believable by probably reducing the number of revelations he tried to pack into one story.
The journey at certain points start to make no sense. It felt as though he was tryng very hard to surprise or thrill the reader. Sadly all it did was make me sleepy.
To top it all, the climax and the final explanation left me baffled and that too not in a good way. I would recommend renting this book rather than getting ur own copy. Hopefully his next book will be able to make up for the disappointment this was.
Bookworm rating- 2 stars
